When you have the opportunity to travel you might as well choose someplace that could excite your senses. For the Barrow's that is exactly what happened during the trip to Hawa'ii in December 2007 and January 2008. Hawa'ii is magical on so many levels. The eco-system itself lends to the experience of new sights, sounds, smells, feelings, and tastes.
In this magical world we took pause to experience most of what the environment had to offer.
First we flew from Atlanta, non-stop, to Honolulu located on the very popular island of Oahu. We spent the night and next day morning walking the streets along Waikiki Beach. (We did not sleep on the beach or in a gutter.) The next day we were off to the island of Maui where we spent the Christmas holiday and 6 wonderful days.
After Maui we headed to the island of Kauai. There we spent 6 more wonderful days. The natural beauty and bounty of this island can truly be appreciated when there enjoying the many waterfalls and muddy trails.
We ended our glorious trip to Hawa'ii back on Oahu at a resort where we not only bought a timeshare but also just laid by the pool and drank tropical drinks.
